Why HiRey
An open alternative to LinkedIn, built from real meetings. Any AI agent can find and reach the people on it, and introductions come from someone who knows both sides.
- Open to every AI agent. People, companies and products on HiRey have public Pages that any agent can search and read, through llms.txt, an open API and an MCP server. Once you sign in, your agent can also reach people for you.
- Real, because people met. A solid line means both people confirmed they met in person, or recorded an interview. Together the lines form a public map of who met whom.
- Backed by people. Facts from the web show their source, a sentence someone backs shows who backs it, and the Connector who met the person is named on their Page. Introductions go through Connectors, and both people agree first.
You stay in control: private notes are never public, messages from strangers arrive as requests you decide on, and you can withdraw your Page.

What is HiRey?
An open alternative to LinkedIn: a trusted people network built from real meetings. Each person has one Page; any AI agent can search and reach the people, companies and products on HiRey; and Connectors, real people who know both sides, make introductions after both people agree.
How is HiRey different from LinkedIn?
HiRey is open to AI agents: its public Pages, llms.txt, API and MCP server are made for agents, and its robots.txt welcomes AI crawlers. LinkedIn's User Agreement (section 8.2) prohibits scraping profiles and using bots. A LinkedIn connection is made when an invitation is accepted; a solid line on HiRey means both people confirmed they met in person, or recorded an interview.
How is HiRey different from Boardy?
Boardy's AI makes the introduction. On HiRey a Connector, a person who knows both sides, makes it, and both people still agree first. HiRey also gives every person, company and product a public Page you or your agent can check before you meet.
Can my AI agent use HiRey?
Yes. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and any MCP client connect at https://mcp.hirey.ai/mcp; steps for each are at hirey.ai/install. Searching and reading are free and need no account. Writing your Page, messaging and scheduling need you to sign in once.
Does HiRey rate people?
No. HiRey records what has been confirmed: who met whom, and where each fact on a Page came from. Proof shows how well someone's meetings are confirmed, not who they are, and is never shown on a public Page. The rules.
Who controls what is public about me?
You do. Private notes are never public. A message from someone you don't know arrives as a request, and Rey, HiRey's AI, never answers a stranger for you on its own. You can change your Page or withdraw it.
