Hey.

Hello.

Hey.

How's it going?

Very good.

Can you hear me okay?

Yeah, I can hear you.

Yep, perfect.

So nice to see you.

Nice to meet you.

Yeah, nice to meet you.

Let me change into a, uh, different, uh, to my call room over here,

which right fast.

Ooh.

Just that way I don't have to...

I don't wanna disturb my desk buddy.

Yeah.

Ah, doo-doo-doo.

Cool.

How's your day going?

Hello?

Can you hear me?

Yes.

Yep.

All right, cool.

How's, how's your day going, Pavel?

Pawel?

All good.

Yeah, sorry.

It's my, uh, company one, so...

Yeah, but everything is okay.

Yep.

So what's up and what I can do for you?

So I saw you just launched your, your new app, and we're, we're running an interview series featuring different, uh, indie hackers, indie builders, and, uh, you know, I'm making clips and, uh, posting them on X, and then we're also featuring them on our website.

Mm-hmm.

So if you're open to it, I'd love to talk a little bit about what you built.

Yep.

And then if you're looking to connect with anybody or looking for more testers or anything like that, I can try to connect you through our platform to, to people like that to test your, to test your new product or...

Yeah.

Uh, question, because it is a recording in progress, so it is, uh, used later on as a video, uh,

somewhere, or just voice or just the text or what is the-

Only if you'd like to.

Yeah, everything's just recorded.

Uh, um, question.

I, I, I ask because I don't know.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So I mean, if you'd like me to post a clip talking about, like an intro clip of what you're building, uh, so that way you can get more exposure on X, uh, we can do that.

But if you don't want me to post something from this, uh, video, we don't have to.

But yeah, it's, it's recorded, so if we have a good conversation, uh, if you wanna demo your product or anything like that, I can post that on my X.

I have a good amount of followers, and then that can-

Mm-hmm

...

you know, help get some more attention-

Okay

...

to what you're working on.

Mm-hmm.

So what is the-

Sound good?

...

scenario?

So yeah, you ask questions or how does it look like?

Yeah.

So what have, what have, what have, what have you built so far, and then what, what was kinda your inspiration for building it?

That'd, that'd be my first question.

Yeah, just a couple of them.

Yeah.

So, um, act- uh, the, the case is that I'm pretty old-ish, let's say like this, uh, in comparison to other, other people who are building right now, uh, with use of AI.

Uh, but actually I also...

It's also a good, um, example that, uh, age is not an issue.

Mm-hmm.

Let's put it like this.

Uh, so I have right now three mobile apps, iOS apps, uh, up there, and the next one, the fo- the third coming soon, hopefully.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, so, uh, it is, uh, my,

how to say, approach to create some useful stuff, something which, uh, is nice and, um,

help me and other peoples, people.

Um, and yeah.

So that's it's...

So iOS mobile apps.

iOS mobile apps.

Okay.

And how long have you been a developer?

Uh, I am not a developer.

Actually, my, uh, I used to, mm,

I, uh...

Okay, I'm not a developer.

I used to be a golf course manager in the past, years ago.

Yeah.

Uh, then I changed my, uh, career into IT, but it was more of like a process-wise, uh, so agile processes and stuff like that.

So now- uh, I was not programming.

Uh, I learned myself programming a little bit on Android years ago, but forgot everything since then because for years I was not, uh, making anything around that.

And right now, actually, I use op--

guess, guess what?

AI to actually create-

Good

...

the apps.

Uh, so, uh, it is, uh, actually according to the way I always

was thinking about products.

Uh, I have a lots of ideas, so right now AI make it possible for me to build.

That's awesome.

And then this most...

So you've been coding, you've been coding for a little while, and then this most recent project, uh, what gave you the inspiration, and what would you like to see this, this most recent, uh, project blossom into?

Uh, the one which is not, uh,

developed, it's ...

This one is actually, um,

uh, call it a mix of, uh, exercise and keeping focus.

Uh, so because I work all the time in front of a computer, and when the break in working comes, actually you say, "Okay, I switch from working to scrolling." And to avoid it-

Mm-hmm

...

I wanted to make something more like, um,

uh, put some exercises during breaks.

Mm-hmm.

So it is the, uh, new one which is, uh, coming

right now, um, on beta testing.

Um, the other one is, uh, Whatever Weather.

Uh, it is the, uh, mobile application which shows you the weather with pretty grumpy comments.

Uh, so actually if you, you know, wake up, look outside the window, it is rainy, windy or whatever, or even sunny, and you say, "Ah, what the heck, the weather is not, not good," you open the app, you see the sarcastic comment and you smile actually because it is-

...

uh, fun to see that not only you don't like the weather.

Uh, the other one is CardMate, so you can put all your plastic, uh, cards, uh, from, uh, loyalty cards, uh, to put in the application, which will keep them onli- offline and always, uh, ready to use.

It is from my experience that pretty often it happens that you want to use something, it is, you know, internet is poor, you cannot, uh, use it because it is loading or you are logged out of the, uh, application or there is...

You just left the plastic card at home and you need it.

So it is pretty, uh, useful one,

uh, to have all your loyalty cards at hand.

Uh, and the last is Focus or Ketchup, so it is again something to, uh, f- to keep focus during working, but this time it is like mafia style

focusing, so actually mafia, uh, keeps you focusing on your work.

That's funny.

Pomodoro.

Pomo-

Yeah, so a little bit threatening.

Yeah.

Tom- tomato mafia.

Tomato mafia.

That's funny.

Yep.

That's awesome.

So you got a, you got a quite a few projects out there then.

Or you, you, you've been working a few, yeah?

Correct.

Yes, yes, indeed.

Yeah.

A couple of projects and, uh,

yes, it's correct.

Mm-hmm.

And then, uh, so what type of connections would help you, uh, as you're kind of growing these projects or as you're kind of growing in your professional kind of development?

What, uh, what type of connections are you looking for recently?

Um, pro- uh, connection is for sure with people, other people who are building and, and have, uh, success, uh, with building mobile apps, iOS apps, uh, because it is always good to have, uh, an exchange of experience.

Of course, I can also share mine experience.

Um, so it is, it's number one actually, and I guess on the one because it is not like I'm not looking for investors or anything like that, so it is more like, mm, people who also are building mobile apps to exchange information, support each other, uh, because sometimes it is tough.

Yeah.

Um, so yeah, something like that.

So more, more, uh, so kind of more like a little bit senior developers that are also, uh, kind of interested in helping, uh,

a middle or junior developer to kind of grow in their, in their career development and-

Yeah

...

yeah.

G- grow- growing, so for example, if I know or spot some pro tip, let's say like this, I can share it or somebody has, "Oh, it worked for me perfectly.

I..." So, but this person can share his pro tip, but so on.

Or actually even, uh, even, uh, for example, I have an app, right?

Uh, for example, I mentioned that I have r- right now app, uh, in beta testing.

Yeah.

So I can ask, ask somebody, "Hey, have a look," because I am already, you know, I have an idea, I have an vision, but actually person who is outside, uh, who will look with a fresh eye to the app, will spot

something which I don't see, uh, and can, uh, before I put, uh, stuff on market, can give a feedback, uh, what should be-

Mm-hmm

...

you know, improved, changed, et cetera.

Uh, yeah, that makes sense.

That...

Yeah, we have a lot of developers, so there's, uh, yeah, it's kind of on our, on our platform.

I've, I've interviewed some, and then I know we're bringing in a lot of, uh, kind of engineers and developers and, you know, the community as a whole is generally very open to this.

Um, and yeah, so

yeah.

That, that, that's awesome.

And of course-

Yeah

...

and of course I can also review others' app, right?

And s- share s- sh-

uh, share the feedback.

I already did it on, on, uh, X, uh, but, uh, people shared.

Actually, it was, uh, more like webpages, but I like to look and search for, oh, actually how things working, and share the feedback to improve products.

So yeah.

That's awesome.

As a, as a-

Great

...

giving, giving back, right?

Yeah.

Yeah, kind of a nice, uh, like a karma exchange or something like this.

Yep.

Correct.

Yeah.

Well, cool.

Well, I'll, um, I'll go ahead and I'll, I'll, uh, if you, if you, if you're open to making a profile on HiRey, uh, it's easy.

I can send you a link and-

RAI can recommend some engineers.

I can tell it, I think, in the link, uh, as well-

Mm-hmm

...

that you're looking to connect with engineers, and then it can make some introductions for you.

And then for testers, I personally interviewed somebody a couple months ago, I think about a month ago now, and he has this platform called Founder Karma.

Mm-hmm.

He uses our, our platform as well, and, um, on there you can do kind of what you're think- what you're, what you're describing, which is, like, you can ask people to review your app, chat with them, and they'll give you some feedback, and you can kind of have-

Mm-hmm

...

this feedback as well.

Oh, super.

Mm-hmm.

So those are two, those are two, uh, two ways I can help connect you with those-

Mm-hmm

...

engineers.

And, uh, yeah.

Yeah, let's just take it from there, man.

I'll, uh- I'm ha- I'm happy to, to kind of welcome you on board and kind of see what you keep building.

Keep posting on X, keep building it public, you know, and I'll be following it.

And, you know, when you get a really big project, if you wanna talk about it again, I'm happy to hop on another call and you can, you can display it.

O- o- one day, hopefully, I will call...

message you, "Hey, I just made, like, you know, I don't know, one million app, um, dollars app, and let's talk how it happened."

Yeah.

The 10,000 MRR app that everybody on X talks about.

Yeah.

Exactly.

You got it.

It is a plan.

It is a plan.

It's a plan.

Yeah, yeah.

We got it.

We got it on the books.

I'll, um...

So if you're cool with it, uh, I can, I can post that.

If you want, if you want, I can post on X to your TestFlight link to test your app.

I can post it on X and I can tag you, and then I can post a small clip from this video, and then we can see if, uh, you get some more testers that way.

Is that all right?

Super.

Yeah, absolutely.

Okay.

Perfect, Pawel.

All right, man.

Well, ha- happy building.

It was great meeting you today and, uh, let's, let's keep, uh, chatting and networking at X and, uh, we'll see where we, where things grow to.

Yeah.

Super.

Fantastic.

All right.

Take care, man.

I'll be messaging you.

Take care.

Uh, just question.

Sure.

Are you really in San Francisco?

No, I'm in, I'm in Scottsdale, but I do have team members that are in San Francisco.

Okay.

So our...

We're, we're based in San Francisco.

We were based in Scottsdale.

That's when I joined this company three years ago.

Mm-hmm.

Three years as-

Okay

...

a startup.

Uh, and then they moved back to San Francisco and I stayed in Arizona, but I'm networking with people in San Fran still.

Yeah.

Okay, good.

Okay.

Yeah, yeah.

So thank you very much.

Cool, Pawel.

Have a great day.

All right.

Bye bye.

Take a good day.

Bye bye.
